LeRoy Mason is the hero?
This is a very early in a spate of films that Maurice Conn made as Conn Pictures or Ambassador-Conn pictures most of which had northwest or Canadian Mountie themes and I would bet that all of them made back their negative costs north of the border. Frankie Darro was very good as the boy, and Leroy Mason is fine as the wrongly accused convict. Others in the cast were also very good given that they had little or nothing to do. Grant Withers was still a young leading man and Paul Fix was just feeling his chops as a character actor coming up in pictures. The story gets a little muddled about half-way through and then rushes to a quick ending. It does fit the "B" program bill clocking in at i hour.
Picure quality was pretty good. Sound was way too low. I tried to download this and burn it to a disc in MP-4 with no luck. Watching it streaming was better but not by much. Watch it if you must but beware.
